Associate Membership
For Professionals Supporting Alberta’s Assessment Community
Associate Membership is for individuals who are professionally involved in fields related to property assessment, real estate, valuation, taxation, municipal services, or similar industries—but who are not pursuing accreditation.
This category welcomes consultants, suppliers, academics, and other stakeholders whose work supports or intersects with Alberta’s property assessment profession. Associate Members gain access to communications, educational opportunities, member rates for events, and the chance to stay connected with the AAA community.
Who Should Apply?
This membership category is open to:
Individuals working in roles related to property assessment, taxation, or valuation who are not directly engaged in assessment practice
Industry professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of assessment practices
Partners who wish to collaborate with or support the Alberta Assessors’ Association
Former assessors no longer practicing but still active in related fields
Qualifications
Applicants must be sponsored by an Accredited Member of AAA in good standing
Associate Members are not eligible to vote, hold office, or use AAA designations
Sponsorship must be maintained throughout membership and updated if changed
Members must adhere to AAA’s Code of Conduct and policies

Fees and Processing
Application Fee: $200
Annual Membership Dues: $385 as outlined in the AAA Fee Schedule
Reinstatement Fees: $250
Processing Time: Approximately 2–4 weeks from the date all documentation is received
