Professional Development.
Professional Growth that Builds Public Confidence.
Through ongoing education and re-certification, the Alberta Assessors’ Association ensures its members remain trusted leaders in property assessment. The program promotes continuous learning, professional integrity, and a shared commitment to high standards that serve municipalities and the public alike.
Continuing Professional Development Tracking Update
With the launch of Member365, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) tracking will begin fresh for the learning cycle starting January 1, 2026. Member365 is planned to launch in mid-February and will become the central platform for tracking and managing CPD credits moving forward.
Advance Your Expertise in Property Assessment
Continuous learning is at the core of professional excellence.
To maintain the highest standards of professionalism and public confidence and to support ongoing professional growth, Accredited Members (AMAAs) of the Alberta Assessors’ Association participate in a continuous five-year re-certification cycle.
This ensures members remain current with legislation, valuation methods, and best practices that shape Alberta’s property assessment landscape.

Monitoring & Auditing
Each year, 20% of Accredited Members are randomly selected for audit. Members will not be audited twice within the same cycle unless a previous submission was found to be ineligible. Any credits that are deemed invalid or missing must be replaced before the end of the current cycle. The Practice Review Committee reviews all member totals at the end of each five-year cycle to ensure compliance with re-certification requirements.
Professional Development Opportunities
The Association provides many opportunities for members to earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits through its Annual Conference, Fall Symposium, and regular webinars.
These events are designed to support members in maintaining professional competence, staying informed on emerging trends, and meeting re-certification requirements.
What Counts for Credits
