Stay Connected to the Profession You Helped Shape
Retired Membership is open to former Accredited Members of the Alberta Assessors’ Association (AAA) who have fully withdrawn from active assessment practice but wish to remain engaged with the profession and community.
While Retired Members no longer use the AMAA designation or vote in AAA affairs, they enjoy continued connection through AAA communications, select events, and optional volunteer opportunities such as mentoring or guest speaking.
Who Should Apply?
This membership category is open to:
Former AAA Accredited Members who are now fully retired from professional practice
Former AAA Accredited Members who are taking a break from the profession but do not want to lose their designation
Individuals who wish to maintain a relationship with the Association without the obligations of active membership
Members interested in contributing to the profession in a non-practicing, advisory, or volunteer capacity
Qualifications
Applicants must have previously held Accredited Membership in AAA
Retired Members may not present themselves as practicing assessors or use the AMAA designation
Membership is subject to AAA’s Code of Conduct and bylaws
Retired status must be maintained in good standing through timely dues payment

Application Fee: $0
Annual Membership Dues: $75 as outlined in the AAA Fee Schedule
Reinstatement Fees: Not applicable
Processing Time: Approximately 2–4 weeks from the date all documentation is received
